Account & Data Deletion
We respect your privacy and provide simple options to delete your account and associated personal data at any time. When you request account deletion, all personal information (such as name, email, phone number, vehicle listings/profiles, order history, and business info) will be permanently deleted or anonymized in our systems. For security reasons, this process cannot be undone.
1. ProperMech App (Drivers / Customers)
If you are a driver using the ProperMech app, you can delete your account directly through the mobile application by following these steps:
- Open the ProperMech app on your device.
- Navigate to the Profile tab (the icon in the bottom-right corner of the navigation bar).
- Scroll down to the ABOUT section.
- Tap on the red Delete account option.
- Confirm the request by tapping Delete when asked "Delete account?".
- Tap Delete a second time to finalize the request. Your account and vehicle data will be instantly removed.
2. ProperMech Pro App (Mechanics & Auto Pros)
If you are an independent provider using the ProperMech Pro app, you can delete your mechanic profile and account from within the app:
- Open the ProperMech Pro app on your device.
- Go to the Profile screen (the rightmost tab in the bottom navigation bar).
- Scroll to the very bottom of your profile settings.
- Tap the red Delete Account button.
- A verification modal will ask you to confirm. Tap Delete forever to permanently remove your profile, jobs, reviews, and all associated data.
3. Manual Deletion Requests
If you no longer have either app installed on your device, are unable to log in, or prefer to request deletion manually, you can contact us directly:
- Email Us: Send a request to michaelsheaffer018@gmail.com (or support@propermech.com) with the subject line "Account Deletion Request".
- Required Details: Please state the email address or phone number associated with the account you wish to delete.
- Processing Time: Once we verify your request, we will delete your account and all associated personal data within 7 business days and notify you once the process is complete.
