Will using Bayla void my vehicle manufacturer warranty?
Under federal law, a manufacturer can't void your warranty just because an independent shop did the work. That law is the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act. Keep your in-app invoices for your records.
How do I know my mechanic is trustworthy?
Before a pro can take a booking on Bayla, we check their driver's license (or, for a shop, confirm a code sent to the shop's own email or to its Google listing's phone). Other credentials a pro adds, like certifications or insurance, show on their profile as badges only after we've checked them. Bayla star ratings come only from customers whose job was booked and finished through the app.
How is payment handled?
Estimates are prepared and approved inside the app. Once you approve a service line, that price is locked. You pay your mechanic directly upon successful job completion using cash, credit card, or check.
What if I need a complex diagnostic scan?
Book a diagnosis: your pro finds the cause and sends an itemized estimate, and you approve each line before that work starts. Factory Trained and Pro Tools badges show only on pros who have them.
